UPVC Cleaning in Leeds, UK | UPVC and Conservatory Maintenance | Northern Restoration

Well, let’s be honest: it’s not rocket science w.r.t UPVC cleaning and conservatory maintenance. However, these few simple steps may prevent you from wasting time unnecessarily and causing unwanted damage to the greenhouse.

Firstly, removing any foliage and detritus from gutters and downpipes is advisable. Once cleared, you can clean the moss, mould, and mildew from the roof with either a water-fed extension pole or a pressure washer. Make sure you start from the top and aim pressure downwards to break any seals underneath the UPVC/wood-ridge caps or glazing bars and incur any leaks. An excellent sturdy specialist conservatory ladder will make the job a lot easier, allowing you to get closer to the worst affected areas.

Once the area is spotless, you may find that the UPVC still has dark greasy markings. The best way to get rid of these is with a specialist UPVC cleaner (please read the label for product guidance), clean cloth and a bit of good old fashioned elbow grease. The glass can be polished using a microfibre pad attached to an extension pole.
